「山林牧神」潘Pan，也是希臘神話里山羊外型的神，潘是頭臉和身體幾乎皆爲羊形的人身獸，只有上身和上肢像人，也算是角神的原始形象之一。然而整體的惡魔樣貌卻是融入更多的其他形象。真正跟惡魔的外型最接近的，應是～薩特爾Satyr。他是希臘神話中的一種「森林之神」，也是半羊半人的造型，上半身像人而下半身有山羊的後腿，包括生殖器、尾巴和腿部獸毛以及腳蹄。薩特爾Satyr是戴奧尼修斯Dionysos酒神的追隨者班底，也和戲劇、藝術很有關連。
從惡魔的形象而言，羊頭是固定而自然的產物，多是角神的變化形態，而翅膀或許是後來添加的，爲了表明與上帝和天使相抗衡性。角神的繁殖力和生命歡慶，對於反對物質性崇尚精神天國的耶和華信仰也是最有牴觸的。
惡魔背後通常長著一對翅膀，偉特牌里的惡魔也不例外。這對翅膀是蝙蝠般的形狀，呈現灰色的無光澤，西洋都是以蝙蝠狀的翅膀表示墮入黑暗。身體不一定要畫成這種形象，任何物種只要加上這種翅膀，都代表惡魔相關。這個惡魔的下半身滿布著長毛，代表欲望的強烈，以及如獸的原始本性。
惡魔伸出右手，手上掌紋清晰可見，那兩條橫豎交錯的線，就是厄運與邪念的意涵。指頭的樣式，是一種特殊的手勢，表示惡魔的教義。這手勢卻也和教皇的手勢很接近，只是他所顯示的是降災和誘惑，而不是賜福和指示。
頭上兩角之間浮現倒五芒星的符號，這正是代表惡魔的符號。五芒星的原意是，各種元素的均衡發展，而精神層面隨之成長。而反過來的倒五芒星，則是接通地底下的東西，圖形的尖端往下鑽，代表墮落的含意，因過度物質化而陷入黑暗，是一種向下的能量。這張牌也因此能夠連結大祕儀和小祕儀，以五芒星象徵第五元素大祕儀統領四元素小祕儀。五的另一種意義，是與牌的編號15相通，是五芒星倒立或五芒星之外有神祕操控者的意義。
惡魔蹲坐著，腳爪緊抓住一座長形的黑色立方石，這就是惡魔的祭壇。立方石前扣著一個大金屬圓環，圓環鏈著兩條鐵鏈，通往兩個附庸奴隸。這兩條鐵鏈分別套在這一男一女的脖子上。
由於這對男女本身已經墮落，頭上也都長出了角，還增生了邪惡的尾巴，已經是小惡魔的形態靈魂已經靠向惡魔了。兩個人的尾巴都往上翹。女人的尾巴末端有智慧之果狀（像葡萄）的火焰，男人的尾巴末端也有如生命之樹的果實，清楚的顯示是受到引誘吃了禁果之後的墮落階段。惡魔的左手拿著火炬，是欲望之火。火炬下垂，這把火幾乎接觸到男子的尾巴，使得他燒到而著了火，尾巴的果實已形成火焰。
在這惡魔的轄區內，這對男女的表情有異於天使管轄樂園內的男女，與「戀人」牌中的男女眼神著落點不一樣。這裡的男性，注視女性的下半身，而女性則空洞地望向遠方。與戀人牌的位置一樣，女性在畫面的左邊而男性是右邊，他們如今受惡魔操控，也或許是因爲墮落才成爲惡魔的俘虜。這一對戀人是由惡魔見證而結合，表示因爲欲望而結合。兩人與愛情從此被惡魔控制，戀情從此黑暗。
整體背景呈現暗黑色調，也有欲望之火的感受。從整體畫面看來，生命力和活力仍然是旺盛的，甚至於熱情更爲熾熱。只是精神趨向於黑暗面，能量專注於狹隘之處，或演出世人不認同之劇情。（
The theme of this card is the devil, the protagonist is the devil. What is this term rooted in the hearts of the people? Does it have specific images and names? In the west, the image of demons seems to be very fixed, with names and surnames, rather than just a general term. There has always been a certain heritage, drawing this card also attaches the most importance to tradition, as if changing the image of the devil is a record worthy of a book. Therefore, when it comes to the devil, we pay special attention to his identity and image.
In fact, the appearance of the sheep’s head of Western demons originated from the important gods of Egypt, namely Amun, the main God, and khnum, the God of creation. Because it became a religion hostile to Christianity, it belittled all the rich gods in other places. These gods, together with the horned gods of other regions, have survived and become the so-called paganism, and they are collectively referred to as Horned God. As far as Christianity is concerned, these heretics are the so-called witchcraft and magic, and the horn God actually contradicts their religious practice. Therefore, the horn God is regarded as the “devil”, and the sheep horn later became the symbol of the devil.

In terms of the image of demons, the sheep’s head is a fixed and natural product, which is mostly the changing form of the horn God, while the wings may be added later, in order to show the rivalry with God and angels. The fertility and life celebration of the horn God are also the most contradictory to the belief of the Lord, which opposes the material and advocates spiritual heaven.

「魔鬼」從不掩藏他邪惡的力量，無論他出現在哪裡，都顯示了不正當的欲望。
「魔鬼」頭上的五角星正是邪惡力量的象徵，他張大了嘴巴發出深沉的笑聲，正在引誘著世間男女跨越道德的藩籬。人們心中那些不正的欲望，就像朝著錯誤方向行進，一旦偏離了常規正軌太久，自由意識漸漸薄弱了，心自然受到控制了，這樣有一天終究會變成無法回到天上的魔鬼，然後從此與黑暗爲伍。加在人們身上的鎖鏈，訴說了受控制的人性，與不自由的行動，那就是沉淪的代價。
一種原始的生物本能(惡魔的形象由山羊、蝙蝠、猩猩、鳥等動物所組成)，部份人會貶抑這張牌，認爲他是不好的，因就倫理層面來說，由惡魔產生的想法是邪惡的，是一種墮落，但人人都有生物生存的那一面，人從自然走來，從大地而生，多少仍存有原始生物的本性，且越是抗拒惡魔本身的力量，當事人越難以處理自己的這塊;再者惡魔本身，也有建設性的一面，他幫助我們生殖繁衍下一代，使的人類的族羣可以延續下去。
惡魔的對應層面，可能是生物本身的內分泌、賀爾蒙行爲，代表一種生物的需求，象是繁衍的需求、飢餓進食的需求……也有可能是精神層面上如性歡愉的需求、享受的需求、金錢權力的需求……，本身而言可以說是牽動人們的欲望，也因爲有了欲望，社會上的供需創造才會熱絡，而人類社會的高度建設也可以說是與之息息相關。
惡魔的形象是怎麼出現的呢?除了原始的本能外，亦有可能是人的欲望而生，強大的欲望彷彿是一個生命力，控制著我們的行爲，也就是人渴求渴望，想要滿足，想阿想的，反而被這個執念所控制住了。惡魔的創造力當然是有的，就事物上來講，他要求你拿東西來換，就如同惡魔手上的火把一般，需要有交換的條件，比如在工作上，在惡魔的作用之下，妳可能受困於其中，把所有的生命精力灌注於其間，燃燒自我，然而妳能夠從其中，或取交換到金錢或是職位上的升遷。
以愛情兩人的關係當中，惡魔有可能懷有性的成份在裡面，感情層面偏向關係當中最低階的救贖形式，性的滿足，這裡的惡魔，成爲一種詛咒，用性與欲望綑綁了兩人的關係，然在具有建設性愛情的關係當中，生物性惡魔的力量，被提升並容於兩人之間，形成了最高潮的歡愉與肉體上的親密接觸形式。
兩人之間套牢的鎖鍊，代表一種糾纏，在關係當中，可能雙方想用金錢、性、權力以維持關係，行動外表爲一種引誘、誘惑、奉承，或因爲爲了的到這些，而自願糾纏於其間，然這些當事人可能感受不到，因爲其未嘗想過這些，故從他者的眼光來看，或許認爲當事人執迷不誤，爲了某個目的而存在於當下的關係當中。
